Compress Video (“Compress Video,” the “App”) is provided by Litter Bug Studio (“we,” “us,” or “our”). This Privacy Policy explains how information is accessed, processed, used, and shared when you use the Compress Video Android application, package name cc.zbug.compress.
1. Information Processed by the App
Media Files
The App allows you to select, view, play, compress, save, and share images, videos, and audio files stored on your device.
To provide these functions, the App may access media files that you select, together with related technical information such as the file name, file type, file size, duration, dimensions, resolution, bitrate, and local file location or content URI.
Media compression is performed locally on your device. We do not operate a server that receives or stores your media files for compression. Compressed files are saved to your device or to a location selected by you.
Local App Data
The App may store compression task information, processing history, file references, preferences, and settings locally on your device. This information is used to operate the App and restore its state.
Depending on your Android backup settings, some App preferences or local App data may be backed up through Android or Google backup services. Such backups are controlled by your device and Google account settings.
Advertising and Device Information
The App displays advertising provided by third-party advertising partners, including Meta Audience Network and InMobi. These partners may automatically collect or process information such as:
- Android Advertising ID and other device or app identifiers;
- IP address and approximate location inferred from the IP address;
- Device manufacturer, model, operating system, language, time zone, and screen size;
- App name, package name, App version, and advertising SDK version;
- Network connection information;
- Advertising impressions, clicks, interactions, and conversion information;
- Diagnostic, fraud-prevention, and performance information.
Advertising partners may use this information to provide, measure, limit, personalize, or improve advertisements; perform analytics and attribution; and detect fraud or invalid advertising activity. Depending on applicable law, this processing may be considered targeted advertising, sharing, or a sale of personal information.
We may receive aggregated advertising performance reports. We do not provide your selected media files to advertising partners.
2. Permissions Used by the App
The App may request or use the following Android permissions:
- Photos, videos, audio, and storage: Used to let you select, process, save, preview, and share media files.
- Notifications: Used to show the status of ongoing or completed media-processing tasks.
- Foreground services: Used to continue media processing or playback when permitted by Android.
- Internet and network state: Used to load advertisements and access network-based functionality.
- Advertising ID: Used by advertising providers for advertising, measurement, attribution, frequency control, and fraud prevention.
You can manage App permissions through your Android device settings. Disabling a permission may prevent the related feature from working.
3. How Information Is Used
Information is used to:
- Provide image and video compression;
- Preview, play, save, and share media files;
- Display task progress and notifications;
- Remember App preferences and processing history;
- Display and measure advertisements;
- Maintain security and prevent advertising fraud;
- Diagnose errors and improve reliability;
- Comply with applicable laws and legal obligations.
4. Sharing of Information
We do not sell your media files or upload them to our own servers. Information may nevertheless be processed or shared in the following circumstances:
- Advertising providers: Meta Audience Network and InMobi may process device, advertising, network, and interaction data as described above.
- Platform services: Android, Google Play services, and device services may process information needed to provide system functionality, advertising identifiers, app installation, security, and backup services.
- User-directed sharing: When you use Android’s sharing features, your selected file is provided to the application or service that you choose.
- Legal and safety purposes: Information may be disclosed where reasonably necessary to comply with law, legal process, enforceable government requests, or to protect users, rights, safety, and security.

6. Data Retention and Deletion
Media files and compressed output remain on your device until you delete them. Local task history, preferences, cache files, and other local App data may remain until you clear the App’s storage or uninstall the App.
The App does not currently require users to create an account. Therefore, we do not maintain user account profiles on our servers.
Advertising providers retain information according to their own policies and legal obligations. Requests relating to data controlled by an advertising provider should be directed to that provider.
